our in North America & Europe. Adrian ( the director) asked me to help build a spaceship scene. I gathered the materials, help build the fake pilot board to create a spaceship like stimulation.
For one scene I was the head set designer for the spaceship scene. Having Mico as set dresser,
I was able to find and build a spaceship 3D model for Apashe. The idea was to be inside a spaceship, with 80s tools and gagets.
This is the end product. Below is BTS of the set-up.
The orginal idea came from the director wanting to have a portal for a spaceship.
My thinking then went to this: a wood plank with a rubber inside and plexiglass in the front and the back of the “portal” to create the illusion of the inside of a space ship.
For gathering materials, I sourced technology that was retro, had lighting and could reflect upon the mask.
